What is the Background Remover?
Background Remover is a privacy-first tool that cuts the background out of any photo directly inside your browser tab. It uses a small local segmentation model (U2-Net-p, ~4.5MB) that loads once and then runs entirely on your device through WebAssembly — no image is ever uploaded to a server for processing.
You can work on a single portrait or product photo, or drop in dozens of images at once and process them as a batch — every result is exported as a clean transparent PNG or WEBP, individually downloadable or bundled into one ZIP file.
How to Use It?
- Step One: Drop in one image for a quick edit, or select multiple images to build a batch queue.
- Step Two: Click "Remove All Backgrounds" (or process a single item from the queue) and let the on-device model run.
- Step Three: Drag the before/after slider on the result to compare it against the original, then download individually or grab every processed image at once as a ZIP.
Privacy Note: All processing happens 100% locally in your web browser using WebAssembly. No files or images are ever uploaded to remote servers.
